Title: Memories with Momo-chan
Episode 1
Previously, I introduced Momo-chan, our first meeting, how we spent time together, and what happened when she went missing.
This time, let’s reminisce about our memories.
My spouse and I started feeding Momo-chan, a stray cat, and eventually brought her into our home.
Naturally, she was full of caution at first!
Where am I?
All I smell is unfamiliar scents!!
Cats rely heavily on their sense of smell to assess situations. When encountering new places or objects, their first instinct is to sniff and determine whether it’s safe or edible.
Momo-chan, on high alert in the kitchen.
We gradually helped her adjust to our home without overwhelming her.
If she ever felt uncomfortable, she had the option to go outside.
She would return when she felt hungry.
To prepare for times when she couldn’t come inside, we set up a cardboard box and a blanket on the porch, allowing her to sleep comfortably.
As we grew closer to each other, Mom-chan started to open up.
We reached a point where we could even hold her, and she would sleep on our laps, sometimes blushing with shyness.
Sigh Such happiness! 💕

Before reaching this level of intimacy, we occasionally gave her showers to keep her clean and fresh ✨
However, she would often rush outside immediately after.
Since cats have long fur, it’s important to thoroughly and carefully dry them after a shower.
Leaving them partially damp can lead to skin problems or fungal infections, which can make them sick.
However, it’s important to note that the cause of illness is not necessarily shampoo or showers. If the drying process is not completed thoroughly and the cat is left damp, it can lead to insufficient drying even deep into the fur, potentially causing illness.
In cases of skin problems, shampooing or showers can be effective.
One thing that Momo-chan loved the most at our home was the cushion we bought from MUJI.
Little did we know, that cushion…
We never could have imagined…
The hilarious episode that unfolded, which no one knows about yet…
Someday, I’ll share it.
In the midst of all these things, we took care of Momo-chan with plenty of love, or so we thought, with a mischievous grin.
And we believe she responded in kind.
We ended up using this bed a lot, despite everything.
We often found ourselves using it.
We became so comfortable and defenseless that it was surprising.
If we behaved like that outside, we would be attacked! ❗️❗️
As I write, memories come flooding back, making me both laugh and cry. 😂😭
There are so many more stories I want to share, but let’s save them for Episode 2.
